The countdown is on for the 2025 MOTA Fall Conference! Whether you're a student just starting your journey or a seasoned professional, this is your chance to shine. Nominate a deserving colleague for a prestigious MOTA award or apply for a student scholarship. It's all about recognizing the exceptional work and dedication that make our profession so strong. Applications are now open for both our annual awards and scholarships! You must be a MOTA member in good standing to submit.










 


MOTA Annual Award Nominations

Listed below are the awards given annually. All nominees must be members of MOTA.

 

  • Outstanding Practitioner: This award recognizes the therapist who is a “master clinician”, provides exceptional service, and is respected for their skill and clinical reasoning and goes above and beyond the call of duty.
  • Outstanding Administrator/Supervisor/ Educator: This award recognizes the administrator, supervisor, or educator who promotes professionalism, quality care, and development of the profession and serves as a positive role model for staff and/ or students.
  • OTA/OT Partnership Award: This award recognizes an OTA and OT who through their collaboration of occupational therapy exemplify the professional partnership. The evidence of the OTA/ OT partnership will show contributions in practice/ research or education through shared expertise.
  • Outstanding Service to the Organization or Profession: This award recognizes exceptional OT practitioners who volunteer time, energy and skills to the Missouri Occupational Therapy Association and the community. They are dedicated to serving the members and the community by promoting the mission of MOTA.

MOTA OT and OTA Student Scholarship

This supports outstanding students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and a commitment to their community. Brief overview of application questions listed below. All applicants must be members of MOTA.

  • Personal Information: Provide your full name, contact details, school information, and membership status in relevant organizations.
  • Applicant Information: Enter your current overall GPA to assess academic performance and attach letter from a reference that highlights your skills and qualities for success in Occupational Therapy.
  • Volunteer Experience: Detail your volunteer activities related to Occupational Therapy, including roles and duration.
  • Employment: List your work experience, including hours worked and how it supports your education.
  • Financial Need: Indicate your financial situation to demonstrate your need for scholarship assistance and provide additional comments if necessary.
  • Professional Organizations: List any professional organizations you’ve been involved with, including your roles and the timeline of your involvement.
