Cultivating the Next Generation of Occupational Therapists

As a valued member of the Missouri Occupational Therapy Association (MOTA), you understand the profound impact of nurturing emerging talent in our field. The MOTA Scholarship Committee is at the heart of this effort, carefully reviewing applications and awarding vital scholarships to promising students. By empowering these individuals, we're collectively building a brighter future for occupational therapy in Missouri.

Our Mission

MOTA is an association whose members are leaders in the field of occupational therapy. Our mission is to preserve the foundation of our profession, provide continuing education to our members, foster future leaders, and advocate for the profession of occupational therapy to consumers, stakeholders and legislators.

Our Vision

Our vision is that every licensed occupational therapy practitioner in Missouri will be a member of MOTA, leading the nation in client and legislative advocacy, occupational therapy awareness and promotion, evidence-based and science-driven occupational therapy practice, and occupational therapy practitioner education.

Our Scholarship Committee's Role

Scholarships act as crucial bridges, removing financial hurdles that can prevent talented students from pursuing their passion for occupational therapy. A dedicated and engaged Scholarship Committee ensures these resources are directed effectively, creating a ripple effect of positive change for students and the communities they will ultimately serve across Missouri.

  • As a member of the MOTA Scholarship Committee, you'll play a key role in evaluating applications – looking beyond financial need to recognize the spark of potential, the dedication, and the commitment within each candidate. Your insights will help us champion the future leaders of our profession right here in our state.

  • With just 2-3 meetings a year and flexible application reviews, your time commitment is minimal, but your influence is profound.

How You Can Get Involved:

We are actively seeking enthusiastic MOTA members to join the 2025 Scholarship Committee. If you're passionate about supporting the development of future occupational therapists in Missouri and eager to share your expertise, we invite you to connect with us.
